Activities for international students
And for all those who want to get to know their international fellow students!
You have just started your studies at KIT, are new in Karlsruhe and want to get to know your international fellow students better? Or you just want to make new contacts? Maybe you are looking for a bicycle or a new room in a shared apartment or you are wondering how to finance your studies? Then this is the right place for you!
I organize a voluntary social program for international students and for all those who want to get to know their international fellow students.
Cultural Onboarding: Welcome event for new students. This is the right place for you if you have just started your studies at KIT and are not yet familiar with KIT.
Multikulti Lunch with Mareike: You like to look beyond your own nose? Then come to the Multikulti Lunch and try the delicacies of other countries! Once a semester there is a multicultural lunch with Mareike, she is the coordinator for international affairs at the faculty. When the weather is nice, we picnic in the castle garden or we go to a nearby café together.
Open office hours: During the lecture period, I offer an open office hour on Tuesdays from 13:30 to 14:00. Here you can ask all your questions! Please register by e-mail and describe your concern, I will help you.
Excursion to a company in the region: Once a semester I organize an excursion to a regional company like the Landesanstalt für Umwelt Baden-Württemberg or Germany's largest mineral oil refinery, the Mineralölraffinerie Oberrhein (MiRO). Other companies will follow.

NEW THIS SEMESTER: Hiking Course for international students
You want to get to know the Black Forest, you like to go hiking in a small group, even in winter, and you want to get to know other international students at KIT? Then this is the right place for you!
In cooperation with the International Buddy Program and the KIT University Sports, I am offering a hiking course for international students this winter semester. The hiking course consists of three parts, an introduction, a workshop and three hikes in the Black Forest.
